Philippos Philis is the founder of Lemissoler Group and has been Managing Director since its establishment in 1996. In early 1997 he started IMCL Inter Marine Container Lines, one of today’s leading feeder operators in the Baltic Sea.
Philippos graduated from RWTH Aachen with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and he also specialized in Expert Systems applications in Logistics. Mr. Philis also completed the Executive Leadership Program (ELP) at the Cyprus International Institute of Management (CIIM).
Philippos is the vice-president of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Shipping Chamber (CSC). and acts as Chairman of the Chamber's Technical Committee and represents the Chamber at the European Community Ship Owners’ Associations (ECSA) on short sea shipping matters. He is a member of the Cyprus Professional Engineers Association (CPEA), the Scientific & Technical Chamber of Cyprus (ETEK) and the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology (IMAREST). He speaks fluently Greek, German and English.
