Demos Petropoulos is the Deputy Managing Director of Lemissoler Shipping Group.
Demos initially worked as operations manager of Troodos Shipping in London. In 1990, after having worked in the U.K. for three years, he joined the Ministry of Communication and Works, Department of Merchant Shipping in Cyprus, where he was responsible for the promotion of the Cyprus Registry, in which capacity he represented Cyprus at various international forums. In May 2000, he joined SFS Group Public Company Ltd as Head of Shipping of SFS Group and CEO of Ocean Challenge Ltd. In 2005 he was appointed executive member of the board of directors of White Knight Holdings PCL and Lemissoler Group PCL.
Demos graduated from the Greek National Merchant Marine Academy, School of Captains. He obtained a BSc in Business Administration and Organisation from Piraeus University. He was awarded his MSc in Shipping Trade and Finance from City University under a scholarship received from the Marine Club of Piraeus. In June 2005, he was awarded a PhD in Shipping from Piraeus University.
