Mr. Philippos Philis
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Philippos Philis is the founder of Lemissoler and has been Managing Director since its establishment in 1996. He has been appointed as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Group since 2009. The Group is active in ship-owning, ship-management and ship commercial operations and chartering. In early 1997 he started IMCL Inter Marine Container Lines, one of the most successful container feeder operators in the Baltic Sea, which has been merged with Unifeeder at the end of 2009 creating the largest short sea and container operator in Europe.

He graduated from RWTH Aachen with the title of Dipl. Ing. in Mechanical Engineering and he is a Harvard Business School (HBS) alum. He Chairs the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Shipowners’ Employers Association (CySEA) and is an elected member of American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and member of the DNV GL Cyprus Committee. He served as Vice-President at the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Shipping Chamber (CSC), as a member of the Board of Directors of the European Communities Shipowners’ Associations (ECSA) and a member of the Board of Directors of the International Chamber of Shipping (ICS). He also served as a member of the Board of Directors of USB Bank.

Mr. Petros Monogios
Chief Operating Officer / Ship management

Petros Monogios is a Director and Chief Operating Officer at Lemissoler Navigation Co Ltd. He is responsible for the day to day running of the shipmanagement arm and is directly involved in the decision making processes of the Group. Before he joined the organisation in early 1999, he worked as Area Manager for Eureka Ltd. and PM Tseriotis Ltd. Petros holds a BSc in Business Administration and Shipping from the Business College of Athens.

Throughout his professional career he continued to develop his skills through regular seminars and specialized courses. He is a certified Internal Auditor for International Safety Management Systems (ISM) and completed the executive Leadership program (ELP) by the Cyprus International Institute of Management (CIIM). He is affiliate member of the Nautical Institute (AFNI) He is actively involved with the Cyprus Shipping Chamber being a member in various Committees and Working Groups, as well as at InterManager, where he is a member of the Manning and Training Committee.

Mr. Stelios Adoni
Chief Financial Officer

Stelios, joined Lemissoler in January 2005 as Technical Coordinator and Corporate Finance Manager and in March 2009 moved to the position of Chief Financial Officer of the Group. Before joining Lemissoler Stelios worked for five years for a Private Equity Firm from the positions of Shipping Analyst and Shipping Investments Manager and for another 1 year as a Credit Analyst at the shipping desk of Laiki Popular Bank.

Stelios obtained a Diploma in Marine Engineering from Higher Technical Institute in Cyprus, a BEng from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne in Marine Technology and a MSc in Shipping Trade and Finance from Cass Business School in London. In 2012 he completed the Executive Leadership Program (ELP) at the Cyprus International Institute of Management (CIIM).

Since 2001, Stelios is member of the Board of Directors and advisory committees in various shipping companies. Stelios through his academic and professional background gained financial and operational experience within the banking, investment and maritime transportation sectors and has been actively involved in corporate finance transactions, financial restructurings, acquisitions, structured finance and joint venture investments always within the shipping industry.
