After the successful results and the positive feedback from the LEM59, the new design is still equipped with a high-efficiency MAN Kappel propeller and a Propeller Boss cap Fin (PBCF). Additionally, the LEM65 is fitted with an asymmetric fan duct. This is fitted in front of the propeller to improve further the propulsion efficiency and to avoid the complex structure of an asymmetric stern and a rudder with a vortex-reducing bulb.
