In a beautiful, modest ceremony organized by the DIO School on June 21 in the packed Tassos Papadopoulos auditorium, the top undergraduate and graduate students of the 2022-2023 academic year were awarded.

Specifically, during the award ceremony, cash prizes with a total value of €17,600 were awarded. The event was attended by representatives of companies active in the financial and shipping sectors, as well as from large auditing and accounting firms, which demonstrates the universal appreciation of society and the business world for the multifaceted work carried out by the School, as well as the continuous interest and their support, since for another year they have contributed to rewarding the excellence and high achievements of the students of the School.

Short speeches and greetings were given by the following:

  • Prof. Panagiotis Andreou, Vice President of the Department of Finance, Accounting and Administrative Science
  • Mr. Christos Alexandrou, Branch Network Manager of Hellenic Bank, Limassol
  • Mr. Michalis Lazarou, Group Financial Controller, Lemissoler Navigation Ltd
  • Mrs. Panagiota Victoros, Chief Operating Officer, Grant Thornton (Cyprus) Lt
  • Mr. Stelios Kyriakidis, Partner Deloitte Cyprus

The students who were awarded, in addition to the monetary prize kindly offered by the sponsors (companies and organizations), also received an honorable mention from the School, for their excellent performance in the courses, diligence, dedication, but also the special interest demonstrated during their studies in the previous academic year.

The prizes have been awarded as follows: The Excellence Award for the highest overall score in the 4th year undergraduate program was awarded to a Department of Finance, Accounting and Management graduate student. Two scholarships from Lemissoler Navigation Ltd were awarded by Mr. Petros Monogios, Chief Operating Officer, to active postgraduate students of the School of Management and Economics.
